How do I take out a mortgage with you?
Its simple! You call our office in spain and one of our mortgage officers will run through your details and give you a quote, if you are happy then we will ask one of our regional representatives to visit you at your convenience to take copies of your identification and give you the quote, we also arrange a valuation of the home. Our Processing team then deal with all the paperwork and will sort out a time for you or your representative to sign the final mortgage deed in a local notaries office. The mortgage is then complete.
How long will it take?
For remortgages, once the valuation takes place, the mortgage can be completed within 2 weeks. If you are buying a home we will be ready within a couple of weeks but will work to your timescales.
Do you do re-mortages for people living in the UK on their Spanish home?
Yes we do!
Do I need a solicitor in Spain?
No, unless you use one as a power of attorney to sign the final mortgage deed for you
Will I need to go to spain to complete the mortgage if I live in the UK?
Yes, unless you have a solicitor or someone with power of attorney to sign for you to accept the mortgage
Will you need wage slips or accounts from me?
No, we provide self certification mortgages which means that you tell us what you earn and that is all we need!
